Second Brain: Build the Ship, Train the Captain
You have years of notes spread across apps, documents and notebooks. We turn them into something you can ask, and you keep it.
Build the ship
We move your notes, from wherever they live today, into plain text files in accounts in your name. The original exports are kept and dated, so nothing is lost in the move. Then we connect an AI app so you can ask questions from your phone:
- What have I written about this topic?
- Where have I connected these two ideas?
- What themes come up most often in my notes?
Every answer quotes passages you actually wrote and names the note each one came from. When your notes don’t cover something, it says so instead of filling the gap.
Train the captain
You stay in command. We set it up with you, teach you to run it, and rehearse a restore from backup together before we hand it over.
- Your accounts, your files. Storage, hosting and backups are all in your name. We get temporary access for a job you approve, never a key.
- No AI lock-in. Your notes are plain files, not stored with any AI company. Any AI that can read files can read them, so you can switch later without moving anything.
- Backups you’ve seen work. Three copies, one off-site.
- No server to rent. It runs on services that don’t need a machine switched on all day.
What it isn’t
It’s not AI-written content. It finds and quotes what you wrote. It’s also not a new note-taking system to learn; keep taking notes the way you do now.
Where it stands
Our first install is a pilot with a seminary teacher, the reference install for Seminary Teacher Tex.
