GIS Engineering
GIS Engineering is our founder’s civil engineering firm, and the studio’s sister company. The firm does the engineering; the studio builds the software it runs on, with the same discipline behind our games and knowledge systems.
The engineering
- Site and civil design: grading, drainage studies, site and utility plans, pavement sections, and traffic control and traffic design.
- Sewer and water: sewer design and modeling, and hydraulic analysis, including fire-flow analysis in EPANET with hydrant flow-test data as the supply.
- CAD and GIS production: AutoCAD, Civil 3D and ArcGIS Pro plan production to agency CADD standards, from project setup and title blocks to finished plan sets.
The software
- CAD standards automation. Scripted routines that bring drawings to a standard (layers, linetypes, labels, symbols) in one pass, instead of by hand, sheet after sheet.
- Repeatable analysis workflows. Hydraulic analysis written down as step-by-step procedures, so every study runs the same way and is reviewed the same way.
- An engineering knowledge base. The firm’s workflows, design references and standards live in a private, searchable wiki built the same way as the studio’s ewiki theme, in plain files the firm owns.
Civil engineering applications
If your agency or firm has civil engineering work that a tool could make faster or more consistent, let’s talk.
