The Studio Dashboard
Know where every project stands before your coffee’s done.
The Studio Dashboard is the operator view behind Barefoot Betters’ games. Each project gets its own private dashboard: what’s being built right now, what’s next, what it costs, and what’s waiting on a decision.
What you see
- The current focus. One headline: the milestone in flight and what “done” means for it.
- Milestones. The whole road, in order, with status and target dates.
- The parking lot. Good ideas that wait, each with the milestone that unlocks it, so nothing gets lost and nothing jumps the line.
- The cost ledger. Every project cost, monthly or annual, normalized to a month, plus overhead, against budget.
- The work queue and decisions. Open work, recent calls, and what’s waiting on you, read straight from the files the project already keeps.
How it works
- The project keeps one file. A
dashboard.jsonin its own repo, checked against a published schema, so a typo fails the build instead of blanking a panel. - The dashboard reads it. No copying, no hand-editing a second app. A new project joins by writing its file.
- Each project gets its own private address, behind its own sign-in gate, so one project can be handed off or shut down without touching the others.
Built on our own work
The dashboard runs Barefoot Betters’ own projects first: Herbs vs. Ailments is the first project on it, and Legendary Arena follows. We run it on our own projects before we ask anyone else to.
Want it for your studio?
It’s in use on our own projects now. Tell us about yours and we’ll let you know when it opens to other teams.
